What PCOR-ANZ makes possible
Australian data collection funded by Movember concluded on 30 September 2026. What we have built together does not. PCOR-ANZ was established on the idea that measuring what happens to men after prostate cancer diagnosis, would help lift the standard of care for everyone. It did.
- It has shown where care varied and helped close the gap. Benchmarked reporting gave treating clinics and teams the ability to compare performance and act on it.
- It put men’s own experience in the evidence. Men contributed directly through Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) on sexual, urinary and bowel function after treatment, building on clinical data and to reshape how treatment choices are understood and discussed.
- It drove research across two countries. The dataset is the basis for an extensive body of peer-reviewed research and publications that continues to inform guidelines, services and policy.
- It was built by everyone involved. Every man who allowed his data to be included, every clinician, every jurisdictional registry and the Data Coordination Centre. Thank you for your contribution.
An enduring national data asset.
Movember, the individual Jurisdictional Registries and the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) are working together on a pathway to preserve the PCOR-ANZ dataset as an enduring national data asset, so that a decade of information contributed by men remains available to researchers and health services well into the future.
PCOR-New Zealand continues data collection and operations with Movember funding till April 2028.
Access to and use of the dataset remains subject to jurisdictional arrangements, and all data stays securely held in line with local protocols and jurisdictional ethics approvals. To find out more please contact the relevant jurisdiction.
